Jan 10, 2021 16:56 On 29.12.2020, a reactor fast shutdown occurred at the Krško nuclear power plant (SI) as a result of an earthquake in Petrinja (HR), about 100 km away, at about 12:20. Interestingly, different levels of frequency deviation occurred in Europe as a result of the RESA.

Grid frequency in Europe drops to 49.75 Hz on 08.01.2021 - consequence system split

Jan 08, 2021 15:58 On 08.01.21, the grid frequency dropped below 49.75 Hz at 14:05:07 (CET). Until shortly before 14:05, the frequency hovered around 50.02 - 50.03 Hz, but then the grid frequency dropped almost 270 mHz within 13 seconds, an absolutely extraordinary event in the European power grid!

UCTE grid dips to 49,82 Hz on 23.07.2020 at 2400

Jul 24, 2020 20:20 At the change of day from 23 to 24 July 2020, a massive frequency dip occurred. Similar to the event on 10 January 2019, a frequency value of 49.82 Hertz was recorded at all grid radar frequency recorders across Europe. At a frequency of 49.80 Hertz, transmission grid operators start load shedding to counteract a blackout.
